The Symposium on Graduate Research

The Symposium on Graduate Research provides a great introduction to our research and academic programs. We encourage all admitted students to attend this event. We will provide assistance in travel and pay local expenses for rooms and meals.

5:30-7:00 Dinner/Purdue Environment Talk, WTHR 104
7:00-9:00 Poster Session, Birck Nanotechnology Center
   
Saturday
7:30-8:30 Breakfast on your own at the Union Market (a meal card for breakfast is included with your room)
8:30-9:30 Departmental requirements, courses, placement, prelims, teaching, Thesis, research advisor selection, and questions & answers, Dr. Robert E. Wild, WTHR 104
   
9:45-12:30 Individual Faculty Discussions
12:30-1:30 Lunch (West Faculty Lounge, Purdue Memorial Union)
2:00-3:30 Individual Faculty Discussions
3:30-4:00 Break with the Graduate Student Advisory Board
4:00-5:30 Tours of the Campus and Housing (G.S. guides)/Chemistry Research Laboratories/Break
6:00 Meet for dinner (Union Lobby: Bus leaves from Union at 6:15 p.m.; Dinner at 6:45 p.m.)
