Francisco leads ACS

    In January 2010, Professor Joseph Francisco began his term as president of the American Chemical Society (ACS). The ACS is the world’s largest scientific society with more than 154,000 members. The society publishes numerous scientific journals and databases, convenes major research conferences and provides educational, science policy and career programs in chemistry.

    Francisco succeeds outgoing ACS President Thomas H. Lane who is a 1974 Purdue chemistry undergraduate and executive with Dow Corning Corporation.
