Trevor Anderson

Trevor Anderson is a biochemist and biochemistry education researcher, formerly from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, where he was Head of the Science Education Research Group (SERG). He has been a member of the International Union for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (IUBMB) Educational Committee and the editorial board of “Biochemistry & Molecular Biology Education” for 13 years.

Amongst other awards, he was the recipient of the Monash University (Australia), Biomedical Sciences “Scholar in Residence in Education” award for 2007 and was recently invited to be co-editor of volume 11 of “The Encyclopaedia of the Molecular Life Sciences”.

Trevor has 19 years experience in science education research during which he graduated numerous doctoral and master’s students in the area of education across a wide range of disciplines including, biochemistry, chemistry, biology, molecular biology and microbiology. His biochemistry education research group in Chemical Education at Purdue will have a strong international flavour as he will be continuing with various projects and collaborations with colleagues in Australia, Sweden, South Africa, Brazil and the USA.
