Research Experience
University of Nevada, Reno (summer 2006)
Summer researcher for Dr. Vince Catalano. Synthesized N-heterocyclic carbene ligands and coordinated them with gold(I) and silver(I), characterized compounds, and studied luminescent properties.
University of Evansville (summer 2005)
Summer researcher for Dr. Ray Lutgring.
Used solid phase organic synthesis to synthesize molecules similar in structure to thymine, characterize the products, and interpret spectra (NMR).
