Cell Culture Flow Cytometry • Lab Info

Training students to grow cancer cells at Biosafety Level 2 utilizing sterile technique and analyze treated cells via flow cytometry for individual research needs.

  • Flow cytometer, FACS Calibur, Becton Dickinson with up to 4 color laser detection capability, two Apple Power Mac G4 computers with studio display, Cell Quest software, file-sharing activated, HP Business Inkjet 2280tn color printer

  • Five Biological Safety Cabinets Class II A, Baker Co. and Contamination Control, Inc.

  • Five Cancer Cell Culture Only Incubators (Carbon dioxide, 37 degree), Forma Scientific and Queue

  • Microscope, Inverted, Olympus CK-40

  • Automated Coulter Particle Counter, Beckman Z1

  • Centrifuge, tabletop, low speed, Sorvall RT 6000B

  • Liquid Scintillation Analyzer, TriCarb 1600 CA, Packard with computer and printer
