CNS Agents

We have developed new procedures and reagents for allylboration of imines for the one-pot synthesis of a variety of GABA uptake-inhibitor analogs.  These molecules are being examined for GABA-gated chloride and calcium channel currents using patch-clamp electrophysiology in collaboration with Purdue Pharmacy Department.

Cox-inhibition

We are synthesizing novel a-alkylidene-g-butyrolactones for investigation as cyclooxygenase and NFkB inhibitors in collaboration with IU School of Medicine.

Anti-cancer Agents

We are synthesizing fluorinated analogs of dictyostatin and examining their biological activity in collaboration with University of Pittsburgh.
