
Fluorine often influences the delivery and metabolism of pharmaceuticals. Fluoro-organic molecules are valued intermediates and targets in drug design owing to their unique biological properties, such as enzyme inhibition. The preparation of fluoro-aromatic and -aliphatic compounds are becoming commonplace and warrants further development. We are developing novel fluoroallylboranes for the preparation of fluorosynthons that can be utilized by synthetic chemists for stitching simple and complex natural and unnatural molecules.
