means a consultation which takes place between an employee and a licensed physician, at no expense to the employee, for the purpose of determining what medical examinations or procedures, if any, are appropriate in cases where a significant exposure to a hazardous chemical may have taken place.  Such consultation is warranted when (a) signs or symptoms of exposure are evident, or (b) where exposure monitoring reveals reason for concern, or (c) an event has occurred in the workplace which makes the question of exposure a concern.
