Fire Extinguisher Trip

NFPA & HMIS Label Colors schemes are same:
National Fire Protection Association, Hazardous Materials Information System)

  • Red - Fire Hazard
  • Blue - Health Hazard
  • Yellow - Reactivity Hazard - explosive, unstable
  • White - Special Hazards - corrosive, radioactive, water reactive, acid

The numbering is the same too.   HIGHER number = WORSE hazard

flammability:

4: very flammable

1: combustible

3: readily ignited

0: will not burn

2: ignited w/ heat

health

4: deadly

3: extreme danger

2: hazardous

1: slightly hazardous

0: normal materials
