coat.gif (5347 bytes)Skin ... well there's skin everywhere just about.  Regular clothes, lab coats, and aprons are what protect the skin that isn't on your face, hands, and feet.  Lab coats or other fully protective outerwear are not optional depending on the hazards of the work you're doing.
Feet are protected by shoes or boots.  They must protect completely, but come off FAST if you spill liquid in them.  Sandals, open-toes, bare-heels, and flip-flops are all completely not acceptable for chemical lab wear at any time.shoes2.gif (41419 bytes)
