Other requirements:
For respiratory protection from dust or mist, and in case of catastrophic failure of any vessel (or mishap), all mixing must be performed in a properly functioning chemical hood (not bio-hood).
Work must be done in a room containing an eyewash.  Path from work station to eyewash must be completely unobstructed by items on the floor including chairs and trashbaskets.
Base must be added to water with stirring, and slowly enough that violent heating does not occur.
