| For respiratory protection from dust or mist, and in case of catastrophic failure of any vessel (or mishap), all mixing must be performed in a properly functioning chemical hood (not bio-hood). |
| Work must be done in a room containing an eyewash. Path from work station to eyewash must be completely unobstructed by items on the floor including chairs and trashbaskets. |
| Base must be added to water with stirring, and slowly enough that violent heating does not occur. |
