INSTRUCTIONS - How To Use This...
   

And WHY

0.  DO NOT CHECK CHECKBOXES  until you are finished.

1.  Select a relevant topic by clicking on the topic name.  Information will appear here in the right frame.*  Everyone must complete the CLOTHING section.  See intro at that page for more info.

2.  Read it all.  As if to prepare for a quiz or short test.   AFTER reading the topic section, check the checkbox next to it. 

3.  Repeat steps 1 and 2 until all topics appropriate to your work have been studied and checked.  Look at all of them at least briefly to assess their relevance to your work.  Do not check items which are NOT appropriate and not likely to be appropriate.  Be prepared to be quizzed on the topics you study and check.

4.  Enter your name, email, department...in the designated fields below the checklist.  Press the SUBMIT button after all relevant topics are studied and checked. 

5.  Print the "PPE online exercise confirmation," sign it, and have it signed by your supervisor.   The confirmation will appear after you SUBMIT.   *** NOTE: After you hit "Submit", please click once on the right side of the split screen before printing! *** Follow all instructions printed on it. 

   
It will not cause a problem if you SUBMIT more than once, but it should not usually be necessary. 

DO NOT CHECK ALL THE BOXES OR THERE WILL PROBABLY BE A PROBLEM.    COMPLETE ONLY THE APPROPRIATE SECTIONS OF THE PPE TRAINING READING OFFERED HERE

*If none of these topics are appropriate to your work/area, or if something is missing, then
(1) maybe you don't ever use any PPE and don't need to be here, or
(2) maybe the training you need is not offered online and you need to get it elsewhere.  Ask your safety representative.
PROBLEMS with printing or FRONT PAGE ERROR.  A quick way to get around them is to print the blank PPE Training Cert pdf here and complete it in ink.  Your professor must sign it.  (Or staff supervisor if you are not working for a professor.)  Make a copy and submit as required by your Department.
