Services Available

The Glass Lab specializes in the design and manufacture of one of a kind specialty glassware. The Glass Lab has lathe capabilities from 3mm O.D. (Outer Diameter) to 140mm O.D. Ceramic decals and other specialty items can be incorporated into each project. Modification of existing glassware to suit a particular need is also available. The Glass Lab also specializes in repairing broken laboratory glassware. Many items which are normally discarded can be repaired at a cost lower than replacing the damaged item. At this time, the Glass Lab is not set up to work with quartz, but consultation can be provided for other alternatives.

Industrial Consulting

Industrial Consulting is available through the Technical Assistance Program (TAP) at Purdue. Interested parties should contact David R. McKinnis at (765) 494-6258. Previous clients of the Glass Lab include Great Lakes Chemical Corp., Eli Lilly and numerous small businesses throughout the Greater Lafayette area.
