Current
Research
The discovery that some arynes can form biological active intermediates of the enediyne class of antitumor antibiotics has led to a great interest in radicals¡¯ reactivity. Therefore my research focus on reactivity of model mono- and biradicals of both pyridine and pyrimidine towards molecules of biological interest by using a Fourier-transform ion cyclotron resonance (FT-ICR) mass spectrometer and the ¡°distonic ion approach¡¯ ( an attachment of an inert charge on radical for easy manipulation in the mass spectrometer).
