Laser Safety Training:

Laser safety training is now solely provided by REM. Please contact Mary Handy at 494-2721 or check the REM webpage for information about the safety lecture, black board training and forms. Please see me to sign your forms! I will also need a copy of the form.

Raman instrumentation training restructured!

Starting this fall semester Raman instrumentation training will be provided through a workshop. I plan to have the workshop every 2 months. There will be an assessment part (short quiz) to give me an idea about the background of the users! I will give an introduction lecture (theory and overview of available facility instruments) followed by hands-on training in small groups on the NIRIM, PRIM and WiTec systems. I expect to have the first workshop in September 2009!
