Focused on the identification of metabolites in 15N and 13C isotope enhanced spectra, NMR databases for isotope labeled metabolites are being developed using synthetic analogues of tissue and biofluid metabolites. Following databases provide 15N/13C/1H chemical shifts for a number of 15N and 13C labeled biofluid metabolites. Extension of the databases to additional metabolites that are detectable by modern high-field NMR instruments with cryogenic and/or micro-coil probes is ongoing.
