New Participant Information
First, thank you for your interest in the Purdue University Instrument Van Project, a.k.a. Science Express. To become a part of the Science Express program you will need to contact either Bill Bayley or Zach Grigsby. We will let you know if you are in our delivery area. The cost for the program is $300 per teacher per year. All teachers using our equipment are required to pay the dues. We will set up a time for you or your group to receive training on the equipment that you want to use. If you decide later that there is other equipment that you would like too use we can provide further training at a later date. It is preferably for the training to take place here at Purdue, but if this is not possible we can bring the equipment to you and go through the training at your school. The length of time for training will vary depending on how much equipment you are training on and what type. It can take as little as a couple of hours to as long as a couple of days. When you contact us we will discuss what pieces of equipment that you wish to be trained on and we will discuss how long the training should take.
