Journal Club

To keep up with the literature

These are weekly meetings organized as follows: Each member of the group has 10 minutes to inform the others about a recent paper. The first 6 minutes are spent explaining the problem addressed by the authors (give background, pinpoint the problem as best as possible), and the last 4 minutes are devoted to the actual results and conclusions.

How are the papers chosen? There's total freedom two times a month, and any scientific paper of your interest is welcome. But there is no freedom for the other two times, as Adam will send you an e-mail with the reference you should study.

Preparation rules: Spend about 2 hours preparing for journal club each week. Approximately 1 hour reading the paper, and 1 hour preparing the mini-presentation.
