RESEARCH

My research focuses on the determination of thermochemistry for various inorganic gas-phase systems.  Studies so far include (a) investigation of the addition of nucleophiles to phenyltrifluorosilane; (b) the preparation and decomposition of various hydroxysiliconates; and (c) the Lewis acid reactivity of XeF+; (d) nucleophilic affinities of fluorotrimethylsilane; and (e) an energy-resolved CID approach to the DePuy Silane Cleavage.  Future work includes the investigation of xenon-containing anions and bond energies within xenon-containing cations.
