C.      Dept of Chem and many others who WORK REGULARLY in BRWN OR WTHR USE THIS SCHEME.

For EVERYONE who is not engaged in ANY use of chemicals of any sort, nor in proximity to chemical uses, excepting only "articles" as defined by the Haz Com standard.


1)  Complete online Hazard Communication Training and submit web form at end.  Follow instructions about printing confirmation page.
    AND
2)  Complete  PPE training sections if any are appropriate to your work (PPE is required for many tasks which do not involve chemicals) and submit the web form when you've finished.  Make sure you complete training for all PPE required by your area's PPE Hazard Assessment Certification.

HAZCOM (HCP) training must be "refreshed" annually. 

 

The completeness of training, and the disposition of the training records produced by these online and/or live training activities, are the business or your department, division, supervisor.... i.e. whoever is making the rules about your safety training and safety training records.  Not REM.  REM  advises on minimum requirements and offers some help satisfying them.  The online HazCom information will not include chemical information specific to your work area, and your supervisor is responsible for ensuring that you receive that if it is appropriate.
