Undergraduate Research Experience:

University of Richmond , Department of Chemistry

Fall 2005- Spring 2007

-         Synthesized the marine natural product Rigidin, and key functionalized pyrrole intermediates of other bioactive marine natural products utilizing vinylogous iminium salts.  Began the final synthesis of Rigidins B, C, and D and helped with the synthesis of Ningalin A.

-         Utilized proton and carbon NMR, GC/DI-MS, and IR for structure determination, as well as automated flash chromatography for product purification and a microwave reactor for certain reactions
