Welcome to the Schmidt Lab website!

Our laboratory has expertise in polymer and materials chemistry with a current focus on developing plant-based adhesives and sustainable materials, including glues that bond well underwater. Our collaborative research about sustainable adhesives made from corn protein has received national and international attention in the media. Such media attention helps us move our research from the lab bench to actual products.
