The Ghosh laboratory at Purdue University is looking for an Organic Chemist with experience in synthetic chemistry and interest in structure-based molecular design, natural product-based drug design, and medicinal chemistry.

Position Responsibilities:

• Synthesizing compounds.
• Determining chemical and physical properties, structures, relationships, and reactions of organic compounds.
• Performing chromatography, spectroscopy, and spectrophotometry techniques.
• Writing reports and papers.
• Maintaining laboratory instruments.
• Ensuring compliance with laboratory safety procedures and standards.

Position Requirements:

• Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry
• Strong chemistry background
• Good publication record
• Experience in scientific research and laboratory work
• Proficiency with computers and scientific equipment
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Good verbal and written communication skills
