Molecular imaging of different cell types in mouse brain tissues

Harvesting tissue, sectioning and then research.

Collaboration with the Chopra group (Purdue)

We are part of the BRAIN Initiative - Cell Census Network (BICCN) Consortium which develops a comprehensive map of different cell types in brain tissues. In this project, we are developing an innovative platform for the acquisition of a comprehensive spatially-resolved cell-specific atlas of lipids, metabolites, and proteins in mouse brain tissue. The platform combines nano-DESI MSI with immunofluorescence imaging to place the molecular maps into the spatial cellular context within the brain tissue. Furthermore, we are developing new deep learning and data mining approaches for data mining and annotation.
