Besides extended family that went to Purdue, my high school chemistry teacher was a retired industrial chemist with a Purdue PhD. As soon as I mentioned that I was accepted at Purdue he said, "Oh great, you don't need to worry about going anywhere else!" He was very pro-Purdue. All these voices of experience steered me to West Lafayette and I'm so glad they did.
Dr. John Nash taught my intro courses, and he did a great job of helping me understand the basic building blocks of chemistry.
Purdue was challenging and there was no grade inflation when I was there. But the preparation it provided gave me a great advantage in my technical career.
Purdue Chemistry taught me more than just chemistry, it taught me how to think through complex problems and find solutions.
