K-12 Chemistry Outreach

K-12 Chemistry Outreach for the James Tarpo Jr. and Margaret Tarpo Department of Chemistry works very hard to meet the 3 goals set by Purdue University College of Science Outreach:
- Goal 1: Provide professional development and support for K-12 science and mathematics educators.
- Goal 2: Create and facilitate programs that develop scientifically literate K-12 students to foster interest and enthusiasm for science and mathematics.
- Goal 3: Create opportunities for broader impact by working with institutions of higher education, industry, and governmental agencies to support scientific literacy.
Hands-on Purdue Science (HOPS) Lab Experiences (Formerly AP Fridays):

High School teachers can bring their science classes to the West Lafayette campus to participate in labs instructed by Purdue faculty, staff, and graduate students. These sessions are FREE to any schools that register to attend. All labs take place in our updated K-12 Outreach lab space, located in the Brown Laboratory of Chemistry.
