I chose Purdue because my two older brothers earned degrees there and I wanted to make sure I followed them with another Purdue degree.

I enjoyed my time in Purdue Chemistry and spent my senior year working in undergraduate research for Dr. John Grutzner. It was a great experience and I'm sure it helped me land my first job in industry.

Purdue was a great experience making my way through my bachelor's degree, meeting many new people, and learning how to live on my own. I became more confident in myself, and Purdue was a great starting point for me in the years to come.

I retired from Eli Lilly and Co. in 2021 after 36 years - about 23 years in medicinal research and about 13 years as a patent associate in the patent area.
