Iota Sigma Pi, Plutonium Chapter
Iota Sigma Pi (ISP) is a national honor society for women in chemistry. Its major objectives are:
- to promote interest in chemistry among women students
- to foster mutual advancement in academic, business, and social life
- to stimulate personal accomplishment in chemical fields
The organization serves to promote the advancement of women in chemistry by granting recognition to women who have demonstrated superior scholastic achievement and high professional competence by election into ISP. More than 40 chapters that have been established at universities, colleges and metropolitan areas with over 10,000 members initiated.
Purdue Chapter, Iota Sigma Pi Plutonium, typically recruits new members during the summer. To be eligible to join, students must have completed 9 credit hours of graduate study in chemistry and have earned a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0.
