Jackie Magno (B.S., 1985) will receive the College of Science Distinguished Alumni Award in spring 2018.

Jackie is Operating Committee Chair and Managing Director for Golden Seeds Silicon Valley. Golden Seeds is an investment firm pursuing gender-diversity and financial results by investing in early-stage women-led companies.  As an angel investor, Jackie’s passion is to promote and empower talented entrepreneurs and support companies that will transform and improve our world. She is responsible for deal sourcing and deal selection, including deal flow, diligence activities and syndication.

Prior to joining Golden Seeds, Jackie spent 20 years in various executive and leadership roles at SAP, Business Objects, GE Healthcare, Novell and IBM.  She has an outstanding track record of accelerating change and driving major business transformations to enable growth and productivity gains. Jackie has extensive experience in corporate integrations, change management and information systems.

In addition to her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, she holds a Master of Science in Business from the Krannert School of Management.

Jackie is a member of the College of Science Dean’s Leadership Council.
