Glass Lab hosts Regional Meeting

In September, Jordan Smith, Purdue’s scientific glassblower, had the honor of hosting the Midwest regional meeting of the American Scientific Glassblowing Society. The meeting was attended by 17 scientific glassblowers, most of which work at institutions and within industry throughout the region. The event featured instructional demonstrations, lectures, and posters presented by those in attendance. Jordan Smith gave a demonstration of precision resizing of large scale borosilicate tubing for custom apparatus manufacture.
