Jasco J-1500 Circular Dichroism Spectrometer
A CD spectrophotometer measures the difference in absorption between left- and right-handed circularly polarized light. This difference is observed in chiral molecules which are optically active. It is sensitive to the local environments of the molecules, conformation, and electronic structure making it a powerful tool to analyze the structural components of peptides, proteins and DNA.
