CHM 49900 Information

  • Choose a research advisor. See Choosing an Undergraduate Research Advisor.
  • Complete safety training.
    • Every student enrolled in Chemistry 49900 must complete initial safety training before research work can be undertaken; several training elements are required depending on the work in which the student researcher will engage. Annual refresher training modules are required during the first quarter of each calendar year. Students failing to complete the Chemistry Department safety training requirements risk being dropped from the Chemistry 49900 program.
  • Write a research report at the end of each semester that you are enrolled in Chemistry 49900 and submit it to your research advisor.
  • Write a final research report at the completion of your Chemistry 49900 experience and submit it to both your research advisor and the Head of the Department of Chemistry.
