Chemical Hazards

Health and Safety professionals speak of the hazards of chemicals as Health Hazards and Physical Hazards. Health hazard is basically equal to toxicity. Poisonous-ness. Cause illness or death, allergic reaction, cancer, birth defects.... etcetera.  

Physical hazards are the type of dangers that chemicals present that are not their toxicity, but rather their ability to burn up, blow up, dissolve/melt tissue, or asphyxiate.
